What is a Proposal?
A proposal is a type of invoice used to track a quote for merchandise or services. For example, if a customer may come into your store and ask for a quote (proposal of work or merchandise) for repairing an elliptical machine.
If the customer purchases the merchandise or service as quoted you can quickly pull the proposal into a sales invoice and complete the sale.
Proposals remain on a customer's account until they are deleted or invoiced. They do not affect accounting, inventory, or customer balances.
System variables for proposals
AIMsi uses system variables to determine how information is used and displayed. The proposal function in AIMsi has two specific system variables that you may choose to set up: ProposalExpireDate and ProposalLinePrice. Tri-Tech recommends reviewing these variables on the Application Variables window and updating them as necessary for your business.
